CTL (Center for Teaching and Learning) 209 (Main Library - Hillsboro) Capacity: 15

Description

The CTL space is for faculty events, workshops, brown bag discussions, and other colloborations. When not being used for scheduled events the space is available for adjunct and full-time faculty to use. Adjacent to the CTL is a CTL Production space with a PC, Copy Machine/Scanner, Printer, and space for putting together teaching materials.  The CTL room has the following:

  • 4 PCs
  • 1 Instructor Station
  • 1 SMART Board with Web Camera (Check out remotes and pens at Circulation Desk with your JC ID)
  • 1 Overhead Projector
  • 6 36" square tables
  • 15 Task Chairs
  • 2 Upholstered Reading Chairs

Events in the Center for Teaching and Learning stimulate campus-wide conversation about teaching, learning, and assessment. Faculty members share ideas and best practices in a collegial environment. They explore research on pedagogical issues and innovations in higher education. CTL events include face-to-face workshops, "Cookies and Conversations," "Lunch and Learn," and program meetings.
